These folks do a fantastic job! I had to have my complete well pump and pressure tank replaced. They made me feel like I was their number one priority. They are upfront about options and cost, did the job efficiently, and cleaned up. I highly recommend!
Well Damien, James, and Jacob were phenomenal. What a great hard working group of guys. Very polite. From the initial meeting to the explanation of the issues, options for a fix that will last since my wife and I plan on staying in this home, were explained well and educated on the units they recommended. No trash was left on site, and no foul language was used. The new system was explained well to me before they left and they made sure my wife and I were happy. Even with running new lines outside in the rain they did not do any damage to the yard that was not to be expected. Again great team there even to the office people I spoke with. All in all great communication from Davis. Highly recommended.
Professional and friendly from beginning to end. Brendan did a great job with our electrical inspection and repairing junction boxes
Had Devin Rumberg from Davis Heating and Air come out to check a drain for me. Wow, this guy is good. Very knowledgeable and professional. Great attitude and willing to help. He’s awesome. Would recommend him l. Davis Heating and Air are great. He’s definitely one of the best for sure.
A+++++++ Service. Brendon arrived on site ready to go. Him and his assistant had everything they needed to install my 50amp generator hook up with the breaker interlock.

Very professional. Work was completed in a timely manner. Davis Heating, Cool, Plumbing and Electric should be proud to have these two working for them.

It didn't end there thoe. Due to the weather there utility vehicle got stuck in my driveway. With some team effort we were able to free it and get them down the road.

That's for a job well done.
As someone who knows absolutely nothing about plumbing, Michael not only took the time to ensure everything was fixed with the issues I was having, but also explained everything he was doing so I understood better! I highly recommend this company and Michael!

Not to mention he came out in this awful weather with a smile on his face!
Kevin was excellent! He walked me through different options, explaining detail by detail. The installation team was also highly professional and did an outstanding job. Not having heat in the winter is stressful. Kevin and his team took the stress out of the process going above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thanks!
Exceptional plumbing service. Called ahead of arrival and said what time they would arrive. Arrived at the time suggested. Introduced themselves. Put booties on their boots. Examined the my kitchen sink and disposal area and confirmed job requirements. Explained what would be entailed in the work. Detailed the work and the compensation. James performed the work and again discussed what work they had done. Cleaned up the work area and departed all within an hour. Very polite and knowledgeable. Would definitely have James return for more plumbing work.

FAQs About Our Well Pump Services

What is the average lifespan of a well pump?

The average lifespan of a well pump typically ranges from 8 to 15 years, depending on various factors such as the type of pump in question, how it was installed, its capacity, your water usage habits, and the local climate. Regular maintenance can significantly extend your well water pump’s life.

How can you tell if your well pump is bad?

There are a few obvious ways to determine if you need well pump repair or replacement in Roanoke, VA. Keep a close eye on your well pump and call us ASAP if you notice any of the following.

  • Water Pressure Problems: Weak water pressure — or a complete lack of water flow — is a clear sign something is wrong with your well pump or another component of your well water system.
  • Spitting Faucets or Showerheads: If your faucets release bursts of air followed by water, there may be too much air entering your well pump. We’ll test your plumbing fixtures to determine whether the issue requires faucet repair, or if air in the pump is the culprit.
  • Unusual Noises: Strange sounds like clicking or grinding coming from your well pump may point to mechanical issues that need immediate attention.
  • High Utility Bills: A well pump that is unable to operate properly can end up tanking your home’s efficiency, costing you a fortune in utility bills.
  • Dirty or Murky Water: Water that looks cloudy or contains sediment might indicate pump damage or other issues with the well.
  • Frequent Cycling: If your pump turns on and off (“power cycles”) more frequently than normal, it may be struggling to maintain water pressure.

Can I replace my well pump myself?

At first, you might think that DIY well pump replacement is more cost-effective than hiring professionals. However, trying to fix or replace a well water pump without the proper tools and training is far from a simple task.

In addition, making adjustments to your well water system can cause other problems that are even harder to fix. So skip the DIY job and call Davis — our experts will bring our enthusiasm, equipment, and expertise right to your doorstep!

How much does well pump replacement cost?

The cost of well pump services can vary widely depending on several factors, such as the type of pump, the depth of the well, and the specific requirements of the installation.

But there’s no need to worry about paying too much here at Davis —  we understand the value of your hard-earned money. From helping you select the ideal equipment to offering financing options, we will stop at nothing to ensure maximum performance and value, all within your budget. Whether you’re planning on replacing a damaged pump or you’re just looking for help troubleshooting a problem, our experienced plumbing technicians are ready to help. Contact us anytime to request a quote for well pump repair or replacement in Roanoke and Southside VA!

How can I make my well pump system more efficient?

Improving the efficiency of your well pump system involves a combination of proper maintenance, strategic upgrades, and usage adjustments. Here are some tips to enhance performance and reduce energy consumption:

  • Pressure Settings: Ensure the water pressure switch is set to the appropriate range for your house. Excessive water pressure can overwork the unit and cause pump issues. Our team can help you find the right pressure switch settings for optimal performance.Fluctuations in pressure can also indicate an issue with your home’s pressure tank.
  • Fix Lingering Leaks: Leaks in pipes or fittings force your well pump to work harder, using more water and energy than necessary. Regularly check for signs of leaks and have our technicians repair or replace old pump parts when necessary.
  • Don’t Miss Maintenance: Investing in routine service from a plumbing professional can help you identify and resolve pump issues like worn-out parts, clogged filters, and incorrect pressure switch settings that affect efficiency.
  • Safeguard Against Sediment: Install or maintain a sediment filter to prevent debris from entering the pump and your home causing wear  and tear on your plumbing and appliances.
