Everyone from the sales team to the install crew did a top notch job. Our boiler went out unexpectedly over Christmas, and Mike bent over backwards to help us get warmed up quickly and affordably. The crew showed up promptly, were very polite, and left no evidence of their visit aside from the new boiler- no mess, no damage. Very appreciative of the Davis crew for a job well done.
We greatly appreciate Michael and Jacob doing the plumbing project in our home. We couldn't be more pleased with their very professional work. From the first day to the last day, they were very courtious, took the time to check-in with us, and made our house available each evening before they left so we could take showers and use the bathrooms. They worked quite hard the whole time and kept the project progressing well. The are men of integrity and we felt very comfortable and assured their work behind walls, under counters, and in the ceiling were top quality. We would easily go back to Davis for future projects because of them. We would highly recommend them and Davis Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing work. Thank you Michael and Jacob for a job well done.
Ryder spent over five hours at my elderly parents’ home resolving a sewer backup. My mom is very high-energy and outspoken, and my husband and son stepped in to help navigate the situation while I kept my dad occupied at my house.

Ryder handled everything with extraordinary patience, professionalism, and respect, especially considering all the chaos and personalities involved.

He never rushed, never complained, and delivered truly quality service for my parents. We are so grateful for his help and would absolutely recommend him.
Ryan did an outstanding job. He was pleasant and professional. Ryan took the time to explain the problem and how to fix it. His work was amazing and efficient. We will be using Davis again for our future HVAC needs. Thank you for your wonderful work.
Daniel was a pleasure to work with and he worked hard to resolve our generator issue. He was very thorough and came back as promised to install the ordered part. Very happy with our service and will continue to use them in the future.
Two days before Thanksgiving I learned that I needed to replace my 20-year-old furnace...before the coldest holiday in recent history!! Davis repairmen arrived on the day before the holiday, and because of a defective factory part, worked until after 7pm to ensure that I had heat.
They returned after Thanksgiving, and even the next week to ensure that my thermostat was calibrated to the correct temperature.
Not only did I receive exceptional service from the installers, Travis and the service department manager stayed with the project until all was working properly.
Thank you, Davis!
Emergency water leak under the house. on a Saturday eve and I called and Michael was on call and came. Right out . Gave an estimate and fixed the issue plus letting me know what else needs done . Appreciate him taking time away from family to come straight out an hour or so away. Thanks Michael Cantrell. Plus Ethan N. Also had to come out the same evening to check why the power went out in one room and half of another. He found the issues and replaced the problem and also let us know what else was wrong that we put on our 2026 to do list in January. Thanks so much. The electric was a hard one we were stumped 🤔 but he figured it out and fixed it. Thank you both for coming and staying late into the evening to ensure we now fixed both plumbing and electric issues until next time we will see you soon to upgrade our pipes and electrical work. When you have a home . It's best to up keep it that's what I told my husband. Thank u guy's you are appreciated. And once again same issue with the electric and Davis to the rescue. Thanks Ethan for coming back out and finding the issue and fixing it once again.
Michael from Davis is awesome! He's the real deal. Punctual, super friendly, very skilled, and really cares about doing the job right. He went above and beyond and made the whole process stress-free. I'll definitely ask for him for future plumbing jobs. Thanks Michael! Great job!
Travis just left our home after working on our HVAC system. I've never had a technician be so thorough or thoughtful in explaining the process with updates or progress and outlining all options for dealing with our issue. We were experiencing overwhelming musty and moldy smells coming from our HVAC in our new house. I had another company come clean the system and they were done in 30 minutes and the smell didn't change. Travis listened to and understood my concerns about the smell and took them seriously. He disassembled our unit and THOROUGHLY cleaned the coils and the inside of our HVAC system and resolved issues that we didn't even know we had. Very appreciate of the attention to detail and the understanding. Appreciate you, Travis!
The water heater was off on a Saturday and after trying some things, it still wasn't working. I called Davis and was informed they consider a water heater issue as an emergency and would send over a technician (after hours fee applies). Ryder called when he was about 35 minutes away to notify me he was on the way. He arrived on time, covered his shoes and we talked about the issue and the Davis customer satisfaction process to keep me informed from the beginning. Ryder resolved the issue and got the water heater up and working due to his knowledge and expertise! Later in the afternoon the temperature / pressure valve failed unexpectedly and Ryder returned to investigate further and also determined the expansion tank was waterlogged. So, rather patching an old water heater, a new one would be the best route. Ryder stepped up and obtained the new one and installed it, which meant working late into the night. Ryder knew we needed the hot water so the family could get ready for a funeral visitation service on Sunday and he went above and beyond to ensure that the water heater would be ready. I would call Davis again if I had a need. Thanks to everyone at Davis!

Professional Circuit Breaker Installation in Roanoke & Southside VA

When your circuit breaker starts showing signs of age or can’t handle your home’s electrical needs, our team can provide you with an expert circuit breaker replacement in Roanoke, VA. Our electricians remove your old, worn circuit breakers and install new ones that match your home’s specific requirements.

You might need new circuit breakers if your current ones frequently trip, feel hot to the touch, or make buzzing sounds. Older homes often have outdated electrical panels that can’t support modern power demands. If you’ve added major appliances, a home office setup, or plan to install an electric vehicle charging station, your current breakers might not be up to the task.

Our electricians take a detailed approach to circuit breaker installation in Roanoke, VA. We carefully disconnect your power supply, remove the old breaker, check for any wire damage, install the new breaker, and test the system thoroughly before restoring power. We follow strict safety protocols to protect your home and family throughout the process.

Why Circuit Breakers Matter for Your Home’s Safety

Circuit breakers are your home’s electrical safety guards. They monitor the flow of electricity through your electrical wiring and automatically cut power when they detect overloads or short circuits. Without this protection, excessive current could heat your wires to dangerous temperatures, potentially causing fires.

Inside each breaker, a metal strip heats up as current passes through. If too much current flows, this strip bends and triggers the switch to cut power. This simple mechanical process prevents countless electrical fires and keeps your family safe from electrical hazards.

A failing circuit breaker puts your entire home at risk. Without this critical safety feature working properly, overloaded circuits can cause wire insulation to melt, creating fire hazards inside your walls where you can’t see them.

Warning Signs Your Circuit Breaker Needs Attention

Older circuit breakers eventually wear out from years of use, especially in homes with high power demands. The internal components gradually degrade until they can no longer perform their safety functions properly. If your home is over 25 years old and still has the original electrical panel, you’re likely due for an inspection.

Modern construction often includes built-in surge protectors and more advanced electrical safety features that older homes lack. Upgrading your circuit breakers gives you access to these improved safety technologies while potentially improving your home’s accessibility to modern power needs.

Watch for these warning signs that indicate you may need circuit breaker service:

  • Frequent tripping: If your breakers trip regularly, especially when using specific appliances, they might be overloaded or failing.
  • Burning smells: Any burning odor near your electrical panel requires immediate attention from an electrician.
  • Physical damage: Discoloration, scorch marks, or melting on the breaker itself points to dangerous overheating.
  • Buzzing or crackling sounds: Electrical components should operate silently — unusual noises suggest arcing electricity.
  • Warm or hot breakers: While slight warmth is normal during heavy use, hot breakers indicate potential failure.
  • Flickering lights: Inconsistent power to light fixtures often traces back to circuit breaker issues.
  • Age: Circuit breakers older than 20-30 years have higher failure rates and lack modern safety features.

You never want to miss the signs! Call us ASAP if you recognize any of them in your home.

What’s the Difference Between Circuit Breakers and Electrical Panels

Many homeowners use these terms interchangeably, but they’re actually different parts of your electrical system. The electrical panel is the main metal box — sometimes called a breaker box or fuse box — that houses all your circuit breakers. This is where the power from the utility transformer enters your home before being distributed to various circuits.

Circuit breakers are the individual switches inside the panel that control electricity flow to specific areas of your home. Each breaker protects a particular circuit by monitoring current levels and tripping when overloads occur. When you lose power to just your kitchen or just your bedroom, it’s typically because a single circuit breaker has tripped.

Older homes might still have fuse boxes instead of circuit breaker panels. While fuses serve the same basic safety function, they must be replaced after each use, unlike breakers that can be reset. Modern construction exclusively uses circuit breakers because they provide better protection and greater convenience.

Some electrical issues require replacing individual circuit breakers, while others call for upgrading the entire panel. Our electricians can determine exactly what your situation needs and provide the right solution for your Virginia home.

Beyond circuit breaker repair in Roanoke, VA, we also work on electrical panels! Call us today to learn more about our services.
