These folks do a fantastic job! I had to have my complete well pump and pressure tank replaced. They made me feel like I was their number one priority. They are upfront about options and cost, did the job efficiently, and cleaned up. I highly recommend!
Well Damien, James, and Jacob were phenomenal. What a great hard working group of guys. Very polite. From the initial meeting to the explanation of the issues, options for a fix that will last since my wife and I plan on staying in this home, were explained well and educated on the units they recommended. No trash was left on site, and no foul language was used. The new system was explained well to me before they left and they made sure my wife and I were happy. Even with running new lines outside in the rain they did not do any damage to the yard that was not to be expected. Again great team there even to the office people I spoke with. All in all great communication from Davis. Highly recommended.
Had Devin Rumberg from Davis Heating and Air come out to check a drain for me. Wow, this guy is good. Very knowledgeable and professional. Great attitude and willing to help. He’s awesome. Would recommend him l. Davis Heating and Air are great. He’s definitely one of the best for sure.
A+++++++ Service. Brendon arrived on site ready to go. Him and his assistant had everything they needed to install my 50amp generator hook up with the breaker interlock.

Very professional. Work was completed in a timely manner. Davis Heating, Cool, Plumbing and Electric should be proud to have these two working for them.

It didn't end there thoe. Due to the weather there utility vehicle got stuck in my driveway. With some team effort we were able to free it and get them down the road.

That's for a job well done.
As someone who knows absolutely nothing about plumbing, Michael not only took the time to ensure everything was fixed with the issues I was having, but also explained everything he was doing so I understood better! I highly recommend this company and Michael!

Not to mention he came out in this awful weather with a smile on his face!
Kevin was excellent! He walked me through different options, explaining detail by detail. The installation team was also highly professional and did an outstanding job. Not having heat in the winter is stressful. Kevin and his team took the stress out of the process going above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thanks!
Exceptional plumbing service. Called ahead of arrival and said what time they would arrive. Arrived at the time suggested. Introduced themselves. Put booties on their boots. Examined the my kitchen sink and disposal area and confirmed job requirements. Explained what would be entailed in the work. Detailed the work and the compensation. James performed the work and again discussed what work they had done. Cleaned up the work area and departed all within an hour. Very polite and knowledgeable. Would definitely have James return for more plumbing work.
I came home from work and my Plumbing had backed up in my home I called Davis Heating and Air and Plumbing they had someone out to my home within an hour the gentleman Ryder W immediately assessed the problem and stayed at my home until the problem was resolved he was very professional kind and courteous of my situation this was an emergency call and he was the gentleman on call that evening he took all of my circumstances into consideration and resolved my issue before he left my home. This gentleman was a pleasure to have at my home and I look forward to working with him in the future with any of my plumbing problems thank you Davis Heating and Air and plumbing for sending such a wonderful professional individual to my home. Ryder W thank you for everything that you did you where a God sent individual and so kind.
We had an excellent experience. It’s clear that management has instilled a real sense of ownership and accountability in their employees.

Facing an incoming snowstorm on a Saturday, we had an urgent furnace issue. Wendy answered the call and immediately took charge—she sourced the needed products and coordinated with the team to make sure our furnace was working that very day.

Her actions were a testament to her dedication, her strong relationships with the team, and the leadership culture at the company.
Amazing experience using Davis today! Matthew came out after I had a concern with my thermostat! He checked it and also checked everything else for me as well! Gave me great advice on some things for the future, and answered every single question I had for him (which was a lot haha!) I was given multiple options on how I wanted to proceed with any issues he found. He was very honest and the prices they have are BEYOND fair! Each price I was given included the labor and service call fee and was still very fair! Overall this company turned a stressful time into a stress free time and put my anxiety at ease! Will DEFINITELY recommend to everyone!

Signs You Need a Professional Dock Inspection

Waterfront electrical systems face unique challenges that standard home wiring does not. Constant exposure to moisture and shifting water levels can lead to hidden dangers that only a professional can identify.

Frequent circuit breaker trips often indicate that moisture is entering the system or there is an underlying short circuit.

Flickering lights on the dock suggest loose wiring or corroded connections that require immediate attention to prevent hazards.

Visible corrosion on outlets or fixtures is a clear sign that the protective housings are failing and need replacement.

Buzzing sounds near electrical components can indicate dangerous arcing or faulty ground-fault protection.

Tingling sensations in the water are a severe emergency signal that stray current is leaking into the water, requiring an immediate system shutdown.

Expert Electrical Dock Inspections

Davis Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric is your trusted partner for maintaining the integrity of your dock’s power. Our certified electricians perform deep-dive assessments of your entire setup, from the shore-side power source to the furthest light fixture on your pier. We specialize in identifying potential “electric shock drowning” risks and ensuring all components meet current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

During our assessment, we inspect:

  • Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI) and their proper functioning.

  • The integrity of waterproof conduits and junction boxes.

  • Grounding and bonding systems to prevent stray currents.

  • Underwater lighting and boat lift power connections.

If our inspection reveals deficiencies, we offer expert electrical repair services and electrical panel upgrades to bring your system back to peak safety.

Dock Electrical Code Corrections

If your dock was built several years ago, it may not meet the latest safety requirements designed to prevent accidents. We provide specialized code corrections to ensure your property is fully compliant with local Roanoke and Danville regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have my dock inspected? We recommend a professional inspection at least once a year, preferably before the start of the primary boating and swimming season. This ensures that any damage caused by winter weather or shifting water levels is addressed before heavy use.

What is the most common danger found during a dock inspection? The most frequent issue is faulty or outdated GFCI protection. These devices are critical for cutting off power instantly if a leak is detected, and they can fail over time due to the harsh marine environment.

Can I perform a dock inspection myself? While you can look for visible signs of damage, a professional inspection is necessary to test for stray current and verify grounding. Our technicians use specialized equipment to detect electrical leaks that are invisible to the naked eye.

Do you inspect boat lift electrical systems as well? Yes, boat lifts are a primary focus during our inspections as they involve heavy-duty motors and moving parts in direct contact with water. We ensure the wiring and control boxes for your lift are properly bonded and protected.
